Where every number on BroadBricks comes from.
Listings, sold prices and area figures
Active listings, their photos and every active count (the home page total, search and map totals, “for sale now”, neighbourhood and city counts)

- The Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) MLS® System, via the PropTx IDX feed. Photos are the listing brokerages’.
- Refresh
- Refreshed through the day; counts are exact counts of what is active now.
Sold and leased prices, sold dates, full price histories and the weekly sold count

- TRREB, via the PropTx VOW feed. Prices show to signed-in members who have accepted the terms of use.

- Refreshed daily.
Area medians on a listing page: median sold price, days on market, sold vs asking
- Source
- Counted by BroadBricks from the VOW sold records for that area and month. A month with fewer than 3 sales shows nothing.

Monthly cost on a listing page (labelled “est.”)

- An estimate: the mortgage from the calculator’s inputs, plus the listing’s own property tax and condo fee where the feed has them.

Schools, transit and addresses
Open data only. Each dataset is listed with its licence, how often we refresh it, and its review status, and is attributed as its licence requires.
School locations and boards shown from open data. We do not publish rankings; any future scores will be sourced, dated and shown factually.
School attendance boundaries are shown only where a board publishes them; elsewhere we say “boundary data unavailable” rather than guessing a line. Commute times are coarse estimates from open transit data, never a live routed trip.
